Positives
A cheap light weight toaster that weighs a little over one pound but comes with great features. Some of these features include the auto shutoff when the Hamilton Beach 2-Slice is finished toasting and extra wide slots to accompany larger breads. The toasting is fairly even and efficient with most reporting satisfaction in the way the Hamilton Beach 2-slice toasts. The cancel, bagel and defrost features work great as well. It has a nice cool touch exterior thanks to its stainless steel finish which looks great in the kitchen.
Complaints
Some customers reported a weird burning smell that persisted even after toasting was done. Another complaint is the toaster dying on them after several months to a year of use. Most of the complaints were minor such as cosmetic issues or defective units.
Summary
Despite the problems that some customers have reported with the Hamilton Beach 2-Slice; we believe it to be one of Hamilton’s best toaster made. It toasts evenly and efficiently with the cancel, bagel and defrost options working well. It looks great and fits in well in the kitchen. Highly recommended
