This giant of a toaster packs a whopping 1800 watts for fast heating times. The TOB-40 can toast, bake, bagel, and broil as well as hold a pizza up to 11inches and 6 slices of toast. It toasts fairly evenly and doesn’t dry out the bread too much as other toaster ovens do sometimes. It will even remember your previous settings so you won’t have to redo your settings every time you need to toast the same foods. While it may seem heavy the TOB-40 is actually quite light at 17 pounds.
Complaints
It seems odd that for a toaster oven a timer is what’s missing, so if you need to have your own timer if wish to cook food other than toast which is an annoying problem when a basic feature like a timer should’ve been included in the first place. Due to the amount of watts many people have complained about their toasts being burnt however to fix these issues usually require changing your settings. Though some people have reported defective units which should be sent back to Cuisinart using the warranty. The TOB-40 wears out faster then normal with some customers reporting it breaking down within a year.
