Positives
The best part about the Conair Cuisinart 2-Slice Compact Plastic Toaster is that it’s a well functional toaster at a fairly low price. If you’re looking to spend a small amount of money on a toaster that can do the job well then this is one of the best toasters you can buy. The Cuisinart 2-slice comes with all the basic toaster functions you need such as Bagel, Defrost, Reheat, Toast and cancel. There is even a 4 slice model available if you decide you need more slots to toast with. It toasts pretty well and can toast evenly on both sides. The dial goes from numbers one to seven with the number one being a light toast all the way to seven with it being a dark almost burnt toast. There is a defrost option to thaw frozen food that works well in doing that and warms up food well. The 2-slice is a light and compact 2.6 pounds making it extremely easy to move around and place anywhere you want it. Design wise it is a design that works in giving off a simple homely look that gives the 2-slice a very natural look in the kitchen. You can raise and lower the lever anytime during toasting and the toaster leaves enough room to be able to easily grab your food out.
Complaints
Some complaints include the Cuisinart 2-slice feeling too cheaply made and not toasting as evenly as it should and that the toaster would only toasts one side and not the other side. In our experiences toasting was fairly accurate but some customers have reported having this problem. Being a low priced toaster it will feel cheap compared to the more high tech expensive toasters. Crumb can fall in a place at the top of the toasting slot which makes it hard to get them out and should’ve be covered for. Some customers have complained about the handle being too flimsy. We feel that the lever works fine as intended but wanted to bring up this complaint that others have experienced. The Cuisinart 2-Slice Compact also isn’t built to last as long as some of the more expensive toasters so don’t be surprised when it breaks quicker than you thought it would. There no standout feature or design that shines in the 2-slice. It merely does what it was expected to which is to toast. All the features work as intended but not to the extent they could have if more work had been put into it.

It has all the basic functions you need including reheat, defrost and bagel controls and performs them well. One of the few downsides is that it won’t last as long as a more expensive toaster and some customers reported problems with it toasting only one side. The Conair Cuisinart is the example of a toaster that does the minimum to a great effect. While the 2-slice could have been much more it does what a toaster is meant to do without having added features or a unique design.
