With the KitchenAid 2-Slice Toaster a big positive is that it has seven toasting shades to choose from ranging from light to dark with consistent and even toasting that heats both sides almost perfectly the same. The display bar shows how much time left be showing tick marks that disappear one by one. Another great appeal is that look of the 2-slice; it looks nice and slick with its all metal construction and stainless steel finish. The alarm sound when the 2-slice is fnished toasting is a nice soft buzzing sound instead of a loud sharp noise which is a nice change from other toasters.
Some common complaints against the 2-slice is the fact that its beeps three times after toasting is finished when it really only needed one beep. With the display bar you can’t see how much time is actually left because it only shows ticks mark that disappear one by one until toasting is done. The pull down lever sometimes has problems of not always clicking in the down position, sometimes you have to push down really hard to get it to engage. Other than these few complaints most have agreed that the 2-slice is well made with few large flaws present.
With the KitchenAid 2-Slice Toaster it has a unique look and design with an all metal construction that stands out and looks great in the kitchen. The 2-slice feels like a well and sturdy made toaster that is built to last. The toasting is fairly consistent and has a nice ring when toasting is complete. On the downside the display bar doesn’t show time but instead shows tick marks and it beeps three times after toasting is done even though once would’ve been enough. We recommend the KitchenAid 2-Slice Toaster for anyone who simply wants a toaster that toasts consistently and doesn’t try to get too fancy on you. The 2-slice is simple yet efficient and effective
